I'm not always traveling solo but this time it was for the entire trip and that was not bad at all. Eat when you are hungry, stop when you like and sleep when you are tired :-)
You are right that more people increases the safety level.

I am looking forward to the completion of my car (Suzuki Jimny 2019) to be able to make comparable journey’s myself. Scandinavia is on the bucket list for sure.
Do you always travel solo? I would think that there is safety in numbers when going off the beaten track...
