In May 2020 I had planned a third camping trip to Sweden.
The previous trip was done with my Defender 90 in 2019 but I changed to an Isuzu Dmax to have more room and more comfort.
Also the new AluCab Gen 3 roof top tent is a big improvement.
Due to the Corona virus the trip was postponed till June 2020 when finally all travel restrictions for people from Belgium were no longer active.
So I left at 16/07 and took the boat from Kiel in Germany to Göteborg in Sweden.
I like wild camping and the car is foreseen of a fridge, a Dometic PLB 40 battery, a portable flexible solar panel and a 50 liter water tank with pump system.
The Dometic battery can be charged by 220 volt, by the  12 volt power supply of the car when driving and by the solar panel ( the invertor is already incorporated in the battery, it is really plug & play)
So I can stay of grid for a long time,  I only have to visit a shop or camping every 3-4 days to get some fresh food in the fridge and to refill the water tank.
And the beers I brought from Belgium :-)
Some people were concerned as I left in full Covid 19 pandemic to Sweden which has a bad reputation and the highest mortality rate of all Scandinavian countries.
However I'm convinced that what you do is more important than where you go. As I will not visit any big cities and I always try to avoid the big tourist attractions and crowded area's when travelling, I'm sure I will be safer in Sweden than in Belgium.

I tracked my trip with PolarSteps which is  a real easy way to stay in touch with family and friends.
